Wu Style T'ai Chi Power Training, Volume II, featuring Ma Yueh Liang, Gerald A. Sharp, and Zhou Zhan Fang.

This volume provides comprehensive instruction for three "inner door" power sets: the Lan Cai Hua (likened to Bagua but on an S-Curve), Wu's Xing Yi, and Wu's Power form for enhancing energy and strength plus self defense applications that feature neck manipulations and spinal cranks.

Additionally, rare footage is presented of Ma Yueh Liang himself doing Wu's Power form with additional demonstration and instruction by top students Zhou Zhan Fang and Gerald A. Sharp.

Unique to this series is how to apply the underlying martial concepts embedded in the training which feature neck manipulations and spinal cranks.

VOLUME II: The Power Forms & Applications

    Introduction: Same as Volume I.

Lan Cai Hua: Sub Chaptered further as follows:

Form: The Lan Cai Hua form (likened to Bagua but on an S-Curve) is presented from two angles and in Slow Motion with specifics.

Applications: How to apply intercepting principles with precise hands, the twisting and turning of the opponent's and your body, as well as positioning and rooting within scenarios in order to ward-off attacks and subdue your opponent with the least amount of effort and force. Neck manipulations and spinal cranks are presented within the context of the movements and reactions of the opponent and practitioner.

Wu's Xingyi: Sub Chaptered further as follows:

Form: Wu's Xingyi form is presented from two angles and in Slow Motion with specifics.

Applications: How to apply the intercepting principles of Wu's Xing Yi with precise hands and strikes, as well as angular redirects and takedowns, grabs, neck manipulations, and spinal cranks within the context of the reactions of both the opponent and practitioner.

Wu's Power Form: Sub Chaptered further as follows:

Form: Wu's Power Form is presented from two angles and in Slow Motion with specifics.

Applications: How to apply the intercepting principles of Wu's Power Form with precise hands and multiple strikes, as well as lateral and circular redirects and takedowns, grabs, neck manipulations, and spinal cranks within the context of the reactions of both the opponent and practitioner. Also demonstrated are stand-up submissions.

Demonstration by Ma Yueh Liang: The late, but ever present, Ma Yueh Liang demonstrates the unique and elusive Wu's Power Form. Based on Quan You's studies of both external Kung Fu and early experience with internal arts you've likely never seen anything like this--certainly not in most Wu Style T'ai Chi demonstrated publicly. An enormous glitch was painstakingly removed frame by frame from this vintage footage. While it's still somewhat rough in parts, it is viewable, and the presence of Ma, in our opinion, outweighs any shortcomings in the technical quality. Ma is 87 in this rare video, and he's as extremely smooth, light, and powerful as ever.

End Credits: Same as Volume I.
