Long Distance StudyLong Distance Study, whether for feedback or certification, is a tuition-negotiated mode of instruction which has been used with success with students who are located outside the Los Angeles area and are unable to visit for face-to-face training OR who are able to train in-person but would like additional follow-up.
While feedback could be given on any part of the "Curriculum" offered for Long Distance Study, there are currently eight areas of study in which certificates could be granted at this time. Moreover, long-term students, certified in any of these basic areas, will be given consideration to train or verify to be certified in any aspect of the "Curriculum" as a Practitioner or a Teacher upon request:
1) Liangong (any one or all three series)
2) Wu Style (Slow Set or Simplified)
3) Chi Kung of the Wu Style (8 Methods or Five Elements)--the Wu Slow Set or the Simplified certification is a suggested prerequisite
4) Baguazhang, the Old Eight Palms
5) Bagua Nei Kung (Includes the Mother Palms, Zhangzhuang, Bagua Gong) the Old Eight Palms certification is a suggested prerequisite
6) Xingyiquan, the Mother Fists
7) Yi Quan (Includes the primary Xingyi Chi Kung Set, First 10 positions of Yi Quan, and the Healing Sounds) Xingyiquan, the Mother Fists certification is a suggested prerequisite
8) Swimming Dragon (Complete Five Phases Set)
Currently, Certificates are $50.00 each (includes shipping) U.S. domestic and $80 outside the U.S.,
and are issued in two stages as follows:
First, a Five-Year Certificate
Second (after 5 years and hopefully a brief check-up (and competency is verified, as well as a certificate fee)), a Lifetime Certificate will be issued.
