Jiang Rong Qiao's book, "Baguazhang Lianxifa" which has been
translated by both Joseph Crandall and Andrea Falk. Both translations are

Volume I of this comprehensive video series offers demonstration and
instruction in Baguazhang Basics of hands, steps, and movements.

CHAPTER ONE: INTRODUCTION TO BAGUAZHANG
This chapter presents basic information on Baguazhang's development, as
well as Gerald A. Sharp's direct connection to Jiang Rong Qiao's lineage,
and Sharp's teachers: Zou Shuxian (Jiang's daughter) & Cheng Jie Feng, a
senior grand student of Jiang Rong Qiao.
CHAPTER TWO: BASIC STEPPING
Covered are basic footwork as it directly relates to the development of the
polar symbol of Baguazhang. A concise, yet comprehensive, examination is
provided of Yin & Yang in Baguazhang: Heaven & Earth Zhangzhuang,
Linear Stepping, Shun Bu (Forward Stepping), Inward (Gou Bu) & Outward
(Bai Bu) Turning, Sliding in the Mud Step (Tang Ne Bu), Box
Stepping (related to Heaven, Earth, Fire, and Water), Yin and Yang in
Boring & Arcing, Walking the Circle.
CHAPTER THREE: EIGHT PALMS BASICS
In this chapter, the 8 palms, as covered in Jiang Rong Qiao's
book, "Baguazhang Lianxifa," as well as the Basic "Mother Palms"
practice are demonstrated. This information alone is considered the
complete basis of Baguazhang in some styles.
